Job Description


We are seeking an experienced UX Designer to join our Fintech firm's Core Services team, dedicated to enhancing the design and functionality of our financial technology tools and software. In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating user-centered solutions that cater to the diverse needs of our clients and users.

The Core Services team forms the backbone of our technology platform, supporting various functions across the organization. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, as we work closely with teams from diverse backgrounds within the Fintech industry. We are committed to fostering a design-centric culture that facilitates optimal performance for all members of our firm.

With direct exposure to a wide user community, you will have a unique opportunity to glean insights into users' requirements and align our product development with their objectives. Your expertise will guide teams in implementing user-centered research methodologies throughout the product lifecycle. Your contributions will decipher the intricate needs of both technical experts and non-power users, translating them into accessible design solutions suitable for individuals with varying technical proficiency.

We are in search of an individual who possesses the willingness to invest time in understanding our processes and operations while remaining adaptable as we establish a stronger design presence. Initially, your responsibilities will be focused and tailored to enable you to acclimate to different teams, build relationships, and familiarize yourself with our domain. As time progresses, your role will naturally evolve to encompass broader responsibilities.

Though design production and crafting user experiences will be central to your role, your increasing experience will enable you to offer valuable insights on UX strategies across the organization. You'll advocate for usability testing not only within Core Services but also across other teams in our Fintech enterprise. Your goal will be to standardize user research methodologies and facilitate collaborative partnerships between engineers and designers.

About You
  • Minimum of 5 years of UX design experience, with a strong professional portfolio (please provide a link to your portfolio in your resume or application)
  • Genuine interest in enhancing user experiences and a deep commitment to simplifying complex processes
  • Comfortable tackling challenges that lack clear-cut solutions, embracing incremental improvements that deliver tangible value
  • Demonstrates creative thinking and an ability to offer fresh perspectives to existing approaches and methodologies
  • Willingness to share preliminary ideas and designs and iterate rapidly, even within ambiguous problem spaces
  • Thrives in cross-functional collaborations, appreciating diverse skill sets and varying levels of expertise; we value approachability, humility, and curiosity, seeking a team member who embodies these qualities
  • Eager to acquaint yourself with our operations and, over time, formulate a vision to elevate and expand our existing toolkit, along with a strategic plan to achieve these objectives
