Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager who thrives in a hybrid environment that combines both Waterfall planning and Agile execution. This role requires managing project plans in MS Project, breaking down tasks and stories into Jira, and maintaining project documentation in Confluence. The ideal candidate will have experience working in IT project management and be comfortable coordinating across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution: Develop and maintain project plans using MS Project, ensuring alignment with timelines, resources, and deliverables.
Agile Task Management: Break down project tasks and stories into Jira for effective Agile execution, collaborating with team leads and technical teams for task assignment.
Project Initiation & Governance: Oversee project initiation processes, ensuring adherence to internal standards and best practices.
Data & System Integration: Support interface development and data integration efforts, including system upgrades and cloud-based implementations.
Application Upgrades & QA Coordination: Manage application upgrade cycles, working with vendors and internal QA teams to ensure smooth transitions.
Process Improvement & Automation: Lead initiatives to streamline internal processes, including developing mini-applications and enhancing API interfaces between applications.
Stakeholder Communication & Status Reporting: Ensure clear communication between project team members, business stakeholders, and leadership through regular status updates.
Resource & Budget Management: Adapt project management practices to team composition, prioritization, and available resources.
Risk & Issue Resolution: Monitor project progress, manage risks, and resolve issues to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Work with Business Analysts and technical teams to drive project success.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Project Manager in IT or technical fields.
Experience managing projects in hybrid environments (Waterfall & Agile).
Proficiency in MS Project, Jira, and Confluence.
Strong understanding of data integration, system interfaces, and technical project coordination.
Ability to coordinate application upgrades and QA processes.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in complex project environments.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
Experience with risk management, issue resolution, and resource allocation in project delivery.
Experience working with financial reporting standards or compliance-driven projects.
Background in solutions architecture, QA, or process reengineering (with the ability to stay focused on project execution).
Experience managing API development and system integrations.
