Job Description


We are seeking an Executive Vice President (EVP) of Engineering and Product to lead the development, engineering, and product management efforts from the ground up. This role requires a dynamic leader capable of managing a rapidly growing team while being accountable for the overall performance and results of the department. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of making data-driven decisions. As a key member of the leadership team, the EVP will also collaborate with senior leadership to shape the company’s strategic direction, influence organizational culture, and drive operational excellence.

Job Requirements:

? Ability to align systems with business goals and objectives.
? Lead senior leadership across Engineering and Product departments.
? Develop a strategic vision for engineering and product departments (5-10 year plan).
? Collaborate with the CEO, CTO, and other executives to refine the company’s long-term strategy.
? Oversee the engineering roadmap.
? Manage the product development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality and timely product delivery.
? Drive cross-functional collaboration between engineering, product, design, data science, and other teams.
? Develop and track KPIs and metrics to measure product performance, engineering efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
? Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of product managers, engineers, and designers.
? Build and scale teams to meet evolving company needs, ensuring the right mix of talent and leadership at all levels.
? Promote a data-driven culture, encouraging decision-making based on quantitative insights, market feedback, and customer needs.
? Serve as the primary contact for product and engineering matters within the executive leadership team.
? Ensure alignment between engineering, product teams, and other departments (e.g., sales, marketing, operations) for company-wide initiatives.
? Build relationships with external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and investors, to understand market needs and adjust product & engineering strategies.
? Manage the engineering and product budget effectively, ensuring resource allocation is aligned with company priorities.

Qualifications:

? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
? 10+ years of experience in leadership roles within engineering, product management, or tech-driven companies.
? Proven experience scaling engineering and product teams in fast-paced environments.
? Executive-level experience, including direct interaction with CEOs, boards, and senior leaders.
? Strong expertise in scrum & agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and modern software development practices.
? Expertise in product strategy, technical architecture, and engineering excellence.
? Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
? Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
? Data-driven decision-making approach, with a strong understanding of metrics that drive success in product and engineering.
? Strong problem-solving abilities with a history of making tough, strategic decisions under pressure.

Preferred Experience:

? Experience leading an Engineering and Product department in a SaaS company.
? Knowledge of the Assisted Living industry.
? MBA or advanced degree.
? 5-7 years of experience coding full-stack .NET solutions (C#, SQL, JavaScript).
? 6+ years of experience with ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, and ORM frameworks (e.g., Entity Framework, Dapper).
? Proficiency in C# and object-oriented design.
? 7+ years of experience working with a SaaS product.
