Cloud Security Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Develop, deploy, and manage a robust and secure cloud architecture across Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms, including Azure, AWS, and Office365.
- Implement continuous audit and alerting mechanisms using native cloud toolsets to ensure the integrity and security of cloud environments.
- Formulate and execute comprehensive identity and access management strategies, ensuring stringent authentication and authorization protocols.
- Monitor and administer user access permissions in accordance with the principle of least privilege.
- Utilize cutting-edge Microsoft 365 Security and Purview technologies to establish and enforce data protection policies, detecting and preventing data leakage both to and from cloud and on-premises environments.
- Lead incident response efforts for security incidents, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate risks effectively.
- Deploy logging and monitoring solutions for real-time detection and response to security events.
- Design, implement, and manage security infrastructure to safeguard networks, systems, and applications.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Lead incident response efforts and conduct thorough investigations in the event of security incidents or breaches, collaborating with legal and IT teams for documentation and reporting.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and internal IT contacts to assess risks associated with new technologies, documenting assessments comprehensively.
- Work closely with IT, legal, and compliance teams to align security initiatives with business objectives.
- Communicate security risks and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Security, Risk Management, or related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in Information Security or similar role.
- Familiarity with secure software development principles.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including routing, firewalls, NAT translation, proxies, and next-gen SASE solutions.
- Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention concepts and strategies.
- Proficiency in security information and event management (SIEM) log analysis.
- Ability to fulfill responsibilities promptly and accurately.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the capacity to work independently on critical initiatives, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Possession of relevant Information Security certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CISSP, CISM, Palo Alto, Splunk, Cisco) is highly advantageous.
