Job Summary:
The Asset Manager will be responsible for managing, tracking, and maintaining the organization's computer assets using ServiceNow. This role will ensure accurate asset records, facilitate lifecycle management, and optimize asset utilization. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IT asset management processes and experience working with the ServiceNow IT Asset Management module.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IT asset management processes and experience working with the ServiceNow IT Asset Management module.
Key Responsibilities:
- Asset Tracking & Management:
- Monitor, track, and maintain an accurate inventory of all computer assets.
- Ensure timely updates of asset records in ServiceNow, including hardware specifications, locations, user assignments, and status changes (e.g., in-use, decommissioned, in repair).
- Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to track asset acquisition, deployment, and disposal.
- Lifecycle Management:
- Implement and maintain asset lifecycle processes, ensuring proper tracking from procurement to end-of-life.
- Coordinate with teams to handle asset returns, retirements, and replacements.
- Optimize asset performance and utilization by analyzing asset data and identifying improvement opportunities.
- ServiceNow Utilization:
- Maintain and update the ServiceNow Asset Management module, ensuring data integrity and process automation.
- Generate regular reports on asset performance, inventory levels, and lifecycle stages using ServiceNow.
- Support ServiceNow configuration for enhanced asset tracking and reporting capabilities.
- Compliance & Auditing:
- Ensure all asset management activities comply with IT policies and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular audits to validate asset data accuracy and update discrepancies within the ServiceNow system.
- Assist with regulatory and internal compliance reviews by providing detailed asset reports and documentation.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between IT, procurement, and finance departments to ensure smooth asset management operations.
- Train and guide internal teams on asset management procedures and the effective use of ServiceNow for asset tracking.
- Handle asset-related issues and queries, resolving discrepancies or conflicts efficiently.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, preferably with computer hardware.
- Experience working with ServiceNow IT Asset Management module is a must.
- Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and auditing.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
- ITIL certification or similar is a plus.
- Experience in a large, multi-site enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of other IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and processes.
