Job Description
Onsite Maintenance Engineer - Level III
The Onsite Maintenance Engineer Level III will partner with clients, the management team, and global support teams to deliver exceptional on-site service and technical support at client locations. The role focuses on ensuring a seamless and world-class customer service experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and break down conference spaces to meet event requirements.
- Perform preventative maintenance, including testing and repairing cables and hardware components.
- Install and maintain control programs (e.g., AMX, Crestron) with upload and download capabilities.
- Provide minor edits to control programs, with or without programmer assistance.
- Address support tasks efficiently, including meeting support, break-fix maintenance, and video/audio recording.
- Support networked devices in the field.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams professionally and aligned with company values.
- Follow local safety standards for all site activities.
- Document job site activities and provide end-user training when necessary.
- Troubleshoot and set up audio, video, and presentation systems.
- Travel to various sites as needed.
- Be flexible to work after hours and weekends when required.
Qualifications:
Must-Haves:
- Strong communication skills to engage with employees, clients, and colleagues.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as soldering and crimping connectors.
- Ability to manage small-to-medium projects and meet deadlines independently.
- Advanced computer knowledge and understanding of audio, video, and control signal flow.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Capability to climb ladders up to 35 feet and lift equipment, tools, and materials.
- Experience in networked device support (e.g., routers, IP protocols).
- Control program upload/download and minor editing skills.
Preferred Certifications and Experience:
- 5-7 years of audiovisual integration experience.
- Manufacturer training/certifications, such as:
- Crestron Programming
- Extron AV Associate and Authorized Programmer
- InfoComm CTS/CTS-I/CTS-D Certification
- Cisco CCNA/Network Certification
- DSP Certification (BiAmp, QSC, Extron)
- UCC Training
Nice-to-Haves:
- OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Construction Safety Course certification.
