Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead specific IT programs/projects and utilize project management tools to keep them on track
  • Ensure management of projects meets both PMLC and SDLC guidelines and makes suggestions for improvements
  • Ensure project plans and schedules are accurate and complete for all active projects
  • Direct supervision of Project Management staff including performance management, monitoring portfolio progress, and escalation of critical breakdowns.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on project portfolio performance via reporting to multiple levels within the organization
  • Ensure IT department efficiency by predicting, planning, controlling, and addressing project changes in IT employees workload and schedules
  • Recommend, leverage, and augment staff with internal, contract and vendor resources to optimize active or newly prioritized projects
  • Monitor budgets, resources, supplies, and more to keep workflow steady
  • Lead project meetings to monitor specific projects, assist if problems arise, and give guidance or expertise when needed
  • Create a roadmap to set the future vision and strategic direction of the project management team
  • Ensure strategic alignment between the portfolio of projects and business objectives
  • Participate and provide input to annual IT plans and strategies
  • Accountable to meet deadlines or provide appropriate advance notice if project tolerances and timelines are not met
  • Assess strengths and deficits of project management processes and standards and makes recommendations for improvement
  • Create an environment that encourages and rewards teamwork, collaboration and encourages employee engagement
  • Complete performance evaluations, and ability to give/receive positive/constructive feedback
  • Provide assistance on a diverse range of projects, from technical to more general
  • Assist in business process re-engineering initiatives
  • Be responsible for developing detailed project charters and plans, scope, scheduling, risk analysis, deliverables, timelines, work breakdown structures, and training needs
  • Gain a working knowledge of stakeholder and employee requirements and their alignment to the overall goal of the company
  • Adherence and knowledge of delivery, industry, and company best practices and standards
  • Serve as Project Manager for higher profile/risk projects

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure as an individual contributor
  • Experience with ITIL Processes (Incident, Change, and Problem Management)
  • Experience with Vendor and SLA management. 
  • Strong working knowledge of development processes, change management and project management.
  • Advanced skills and understanding of Microsoft Project or other project tracking tools
  • Knowledge of waterfall methodology; agile or lean experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of development methodologies including but not limited to: scrum, SDLC is a plus
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities without jeopardizing deadlines or goals
  • Proven leadership experience and the ability to effectively interface and collaborate with all levels within the organization (both technical and non-technical)
  • Proven success in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a PMO.
  • Skilled in presenting complex concepts and information to individuals and groups at all levels of the organization in a simple concise manner
  • Previous experience in budgeting, forecasting and business case writing
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Strong communication skills, written, verbal, and listening
  • Complete working knowledge of Windows and mobile devices
  • Competency in PC applications such as Office, Visio, Outlook, etc.
  • Experience in delivery of successful Enterprise level IT Infrastructure projects including data center moves, security, desktop refresh, database, telephony, enterprise software deployment, office close/relocations, and network and/or server projects
