Assistant Vice President, Front Office Technology 

Department Overview 

The Technology Solutions Department is responsible for designing and delivering state of the art technology solutions that are designed to create efficiency, mitigate risk and grow revenue for the Firm. Technology Solutions is also responsible for defining, managing, and executing a robust Cyber Security program following the NIST Cyber Security Framework. Technology Solutions focuses on technical excellence through innovative application designs, robust data integration and analytics, high availability infrastructure and gold level service for our key stakeholders with information security embedded throughout. Critical functions within Technology Solutions include Project Management, Vendor Management, Business Analysis, Enterprise Data Governance and Stewardship, Application Development and 3rd Party Integration, Strategic and Secure Infrastructure, and Operations. The Technology Solutions Department collaborates closely with Firm leadership and business unit heads to develop plans in line with business objectives. 

Position Responsibilities 

Our clint is looking for an experienced individual with business analysis, project management and client coverage skills for our Front Office Technology Team dedicated to our Direct Lending line of business. The candidate will gain a deep understanding of the Direct Lending business processes and technology solutions, develop  an appreciation for any existing pain points and gaps in technology and provide the Direct Lending users with leading edge solutions and exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated significant and recent experience as a Project Manager and Business Analyst supporting end-users at all levels, working closely with a development team. The candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, an inquisitive nature, a passion for excellent service and relationships, the ability to self-start and be resourceful, a strong understanding of technology and a strong interest and desire to develop hands-on expertise in relevant technology solutions. 

This is a client-facing role managing relationships with and delivery for business stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior business leaders, and will require energy, relentlessness and the ability to build structure around unstructured business problems. The ability to present information confidently to senior leadership will be a critical success criterion in this role, so exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential. 

Responsibilities: 

− Quickly become a subject matter expert in the core business functions of Direct Lending  and the technology solutions they require

− Analyze and understand complex business processes and present them in an  understandable and logical format

− Develop detailed requirements documentation including user stories, use cases, design  specifications, business process and data flows and success criteria

− Independently execute complex data analysis across multiple platforms through the use of  Excel and other available tools (e.g., PowerBI, SQL)

− Manage support issues raised by the business through to resolution and within defined  support SLAs

− Exhibit resourcefulness in proactively identifying and engaging available resources and  subject matter experts in related areas to achieve goals

− Build strong and productive relationships with key business stakeholders, executive sponsors, technology colleagues and technology vendors to convey pain points, requirements and process improvements in a clear and concise manner

− Ensure that all delivered solutions meet the highest quality standards and satisfy all  specified business requirements through rigorous validation and testing, both independent of and in collaboration with end users

− Work closely with development teams and vendors to clarify requirements and ensure  application delivery meets all desired business specifications

− Understand the relationships, dependencies and impact of related business functions to  your area of responsibility

− Demonstrate strong ability to multitask, manage time and priorities and influence the outcome under pressure and subject to deadlines 

 

Qualifications & Experience: 

− Bachelor’ s Degree (Computer Science, Business or related field preferred) and 7-10 years  of experience in a similar role, preferably in Financial Services 

− Prior experience with and knowledge of CRM systems and processes, preferably Microsoft  Dynamics CRM in a cloud environment

− Proven experience performing complex data analysis; Deep understanding of relational  databases with experience writing SQL queries and use of related query tools preferred

− An expert understanding of the software development lifecycle, in particular while working  with hybrid teams including staff and third-party vendors

− Experience with the PowerBI reporting environment, including familiarity with reporting,  dashboarding and data visualization

− Significant experience working with revenue-generating organizations, preferably within  the financial services sector

− Proactive self-starter with a positive can-do and ‘ no job too small’ attitude

− Results oriented with a high level of personal accountability
