Venn is an application of the technology platform, grounded by investment research and inspired by years of Client Solutions Advisory work. With Venn, institutional investors can understand how individual risk factors contribute to overall performance and portfolio risk, and bring new quantitative views to investment selection and strategic asset allocation. Venn is a systematization of much of the manual work previously performed by portfolio managers and our Client Solutions Advisory team and the continued development of Venn represents a significant investment on the part of our client to bring market leading technology and research to the broader institutional investor community. As they continue to build features, they expect Venn to become an indispensable tool that everyone from Analysts to CIO' s use to guide their investment decisions and expose them to strategies that will best achieve their investment goals and obligations through data.

 

They are looking for an experienced Product Manager to drive adoption and user engagement, and organize the product and engineering teams to improve the overall Venn user experience. Own and define the strategic product road-map and manage high performing, results driven agile development team and process. Responsibilities will include:
  • Run agile development process, including regular sprint planning meetings and product prioritization, ensuring both front end and back end engineering teams are operating at full capacity with a robust development pipeline
  • Establish product KPI' s to measure both the user experience and the development process
  • Create actionable product specifications for all new development work, effectively engaging with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to determine feature prioritization and product road-map
  • Reinforce best practices and institute processes to maintain a regular product release cadence
  • Regularly engage with end users to understand the user stories and translate qualitative feedback into product plans and designs
  • Become an expert on the day to day use cases and workflows and factor investing frameworks of institutional investors that Venn seeks to serve
  • Identify ways to bring efficiency to our product efforts, either through internally developed tools or implementation of best in class third party solutions
  • Oversee product design and user interface decisions to optimize overall user experience for ease of use

Requirements for this position include:
  • Significant Product Management experience, including previous sole ownership of an entire product or major feature
  • Experience actively running an agile development process
  • Experience with writing UI/UX specs for a product
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Degree in Computer Science or related technical field is preferred but not required

  • Ability to motivate a team of developers and designers with enthusiasm and humility
  • Experience interacting with executives both internally and externally to present product and solicit feedback
  • Confidence to execute and make decisions based on qualitative feedback without an over-reliance on quantitative data to inform decisions
  • Attention to detail, nothing slips through the cracks and you see problems and address them before they have significant adverse impact
  • Strong listening skills to draw out insights and understand not just the what, but also the why, in product feedback and discussions
  • Proactively looks for what' s coming around the corner and thinks strategically about how to adjust to future states while still managing for execution today
  • Experience in financial services/fintech a plus but not required
  • Ability to manage the trade-offs of high impact, security-focused, enterprise software solutions with user-centric designs and product mentality
