A high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Cloud Services Team Manager to lead the team responsible for the engineering, deployment, and daily operations for the firm.

Responsibilities

The Cloud Services Team Manager will be responsible for:
  • Architecting, installing and managing a large-scale research and development environment utilizing cloud technologies and cloud-scale tools, such as Kubernetes, Docker and Object Store
  • Collaborating with internal trading teams and external business partners to optimize compute workloads
  • Designing a hybrid cloud model using private and public cloud offerings
  • Researching and implementing multi-petabyte cloud scale storage
  • Leading a team of Cloud Services engineers

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A bachelor’ s degree in computer science or a related field, such as computer engineering, electrical engineering, or mathematics
  • At least 10 years of experience in architecting, designing, and building large-scale compute environments with 3+ in public clouds
  • Expertise in utilizing cloud-scale technologies to build in-house private clouds and to interface with public clouds
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting such as Shell, Python, SaltStack, and/or Ansible
  • Strong knowledge of WAN, LAN and datacenter network architectures
  • Hands-on knowledge of Unix or Linux and systems administration skills
  • Experience developing software in a Linux environment
  • Experience with Web Services and API development, including REST architecture
  • Strong project management skills
